Variable winds out of the east, southeast with calm seas, blue skies and temperatures in the low 90's.

The Happy Day Today Topshot Fishing left the dock at Fort Lauderdale FL to do some deep sea fishing. It took 20 minutes to get to the fishing ground from Fort Lauderdale FL which sits in 120 ft. of water. On board were four anglers, Kevin and Vinny from Staten Island, New York and Kim and Mike from Oklahoma. We put out four surface baits consisting of two single hook Bonito strips with sea witches in front of them and two Ballyhoos, and we had two deep lines, one with a #8 plainer with a 3 ½ blue reflector drone spoon and the other with a #6 plainer with a double hook Bonito strip with a pink and purple sea witch.

Our first strike was on our deep line with the Bonito strip. Ladies go first, so Kim was our first angler. As the rod bent over and the line exited the reel at a very fast rate, my first thought was that it was a Wahoo, but as the fish jumped and the sun reflected its silver color, I could see it was a large Barracuda. Kim reeled the Barracuda to the boat and Mitch, our mate, put the 25 lb. Barracuda in the boat for picture taking and release. The anglers took turn consecutively and caught King Fish, Bonitos, Black Fin Tunas and more Barracudas in the Fort Lauderdale FL sea waters.

With four happy anglers and a good catch of fish on the charter boat Happy Day Today Topshot Fishing, it was time to start heading back from our deep sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale FL to the dock at Bahia Mar. Kevin and Vinny decided to return the next day and charter the Happy Day Today Topshot Fishing for more fun and deep sea fishing. This ends another successful and adventurous deep sea fishing charter on the Happy Day Today/Topshot Fishing with Captain Zsak in Fort Lauderdale FL.
