Capt. Jim Ryan of Bigfish II Charters with 705 lb. Giant Bluefin Tuna caught by Joel Weber of Kingston,MA and Shane Moore of Plymouth,Ma.
The battle took almost two hours but finally came to the gaff. This was Bigfish II Charters' first giant tuna this year. Several other giants were also landed on Stellwagen Bank this week to over 1,000 lbs..
School tuna fishing also broke wide open this week with lots of nice fish to over 100 lbs. on most trips, mostly taken on squid bars. Cod/haddock trips were also excellent this week. The Bob Martin party of Maudin,SC had the largest cod with a 43 pounder. They also got lots of Haddock, Wolffish and Pollack. C
