Mike and I floated from Fish Creek to Police for an evening float tonight and I had the pleasure of having Mike row and guide me. We saw some really cool things tonight, that is until we ran out of daylight and couldn't see anything anymore.

We had some phenomenal dry fly eats on the golden stone patterns but what was really neat was the browns we found sitting in super shallow water rolling rocks over with their nose and literally laying on their sides to slip into skinny water up against the bank and dig out stone fly nymphs from under the shoreline rocks...it was crazy. How do you cast and drift a fly through water 4" deep with 20+" fish laying on their sides so they can grab big stone fly nymphs under the rocks?

The last 2 hrs were in the dark and we did get some nice rainbows and browns on streamers but what was interesting is I was picking them up in the middle of the river not on the banks where I would expect to get them at night.
