Kash and I's good friend Rob was in town so we took the opportunity to take him down the bow. I got off the river at midnight and we were back out at 6am (slept in my truck). We tried the early morning float to see what type of dry fly action there was to be had compared to the evening. Rob had never fly fished before so we started him on the indicator rod and he was casting like an experienced guru in mere minutes.

Rob was hooking some nice rainbows but we couldn't keep them buttoned as he probably had too much coaching form Kash & I at the same time (Rob, Kash & I all met coaching basketball). Kash had a couple of nice eats from browns on the dry that he missed before connecting with a nice brown while we stalked the bank. Later he landed another gorgeous brown drifting the stonefly tight behind a boulder on the bank...all in a a great morning, although we still were seeing more eats in the evenings, but you never know until you try.
