Today’s trip with Lee, Lynn and Bill from neighboring Wisconsin sure started out on the slow side. We started out at the north end where we’ve been getting some nice fish lately. But the fish had other ideas. We did land one keeper and some small ones before making a major change in location. We only had one fish in the boat at 12:30, but in the next 3 hours we landed 13 keepers and some undersized fish, and a few small bass. We also made a change in tactics, going from pulling bottom bouncers and spinners to drifting slowly with just a single hook, split shot, and half a night crawler. A slow day quickly turned into a fun one. We found our fish shallower too, most of them in 7 to 11 feet of water. Here’s a picture and video as well of today’s catch, good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
