Last week the fishing was real good before the full moon, but it slowed down as the moon got to its biggest point. We had a couple of days with over 40 fish in the boat, most were good keeper size or better. The biggest was pushing 8 lbs and we had several in the 5 to 6 lb range. I fished the Bassmaster Weekend Series here Saturday out of Goose Pond. The day started off slow I only had 1 fish at 11:00, but it picked up from there. I caught 9 keepers, the best 5 weighed 22.67 lbs and my biggest was around 6 lbs. I finished 4th out of 127 boaters. My co-angler had a solid 3 fish limit that weighed 11 lbs, his big fish was 5.5 lbs.

Sunday was a lot slower with less than handful of keepers, nothing over 4 lbs.

Monday I did two trips. The morning trip was real slow, we only had 1 fish that weighed 4 lbs. The evening trip was a little better, we had 8 keepers. Big fish was 5 lbs. and one good one came unbuttoned.

Best baits have been the rattlebaits in shad colors and reds.

I have days open to take you fishing. Whether for fun or for pre-fishing for tournaments.
