Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Report,

Lake Ray Roberts is normal level with the rains we had this week. Water temperature 68 to 72 and stained to muddy in some areas from the run off this week. Fall is in the air in North Texas and the white bass fishing is very good on Ray Roberts. The topwater schooling is over for the most part but early and late there will still be some fish chasing shad in shallow water mostly on points. Fishing deep on humps, points, roads and ridges in 22 to 40 feet is how to catch a bunch of fish. The only baits we use for deep sand bass are Cotton Cordell 3/4 oz. CC Spoons in chrome color with a Flies-By-Night chartreuse fly tied 14 inches above the spoon. This week in the cloudy rainy weather the fish have been on top of the structure in 22 to 27. Has taken a lot of looking to get a solid bite going since all the rain. Today a lot of birds showed up helping us get on active biting fish. We are still getting a good box of fish every trip and most of the time limits. Give me a call or send me an email if you are looking to catch a bunch of Ray Roberts sand bass this Fall. My weekend days fill up fast this time of year so get with me soon to reserve a date for a fishing trip.

Have fun fishing,

Tim
