Well we put in at Tracy's point and headed to the Withlacoochie river. Hydrilla and hyacinth's everywhere! Not in big patches either just scattered. We flipped, threw flukes and traps. Nothing, didn't even see bait fish up that way. We decided to head the other way, near the barge canal. Grass still scattered all over but the bait fish were there. Second cast with a elgrandelures Rano Toro (big frog) boated an nice 4 1/2lber. Then several dink's on the fluke. I kept a 1/4oz custom painted (golden shiner) rattle trap near by and would throw it into the bigger hole's in the hydrilla. That was the ticket!!! Saw some fish busting bait up ahead and started throwing that trap to them. WHAM... 5lber. buddy threw right behind me and WHAM 3lber. Caught 4 nice keeper's in the same hole! If your heading to Rousseau make sure to try out the west side for the best catches... www.thecrankincracker.com
