Reds on Fly in Port Sulphur ~ www.reellouisianaadventures.com

Dave and Pauletta McKenzie traveled from California to experience their first saltwater fly fishing trip to our area and from the looks of their success, it won't be their last trip to Louisiana!

I scheduled Dave with Capt. Bryan Carter aboard his 16 foot Hells Bay flats skiff on Oct 24, 25 and 26th and the rest is history.

Although it was cold and blustery, the fish didn't seem to mind. He caught and released bull redfish, sheephead and black drum on fly. Some of his comments from the day are attached below:

"Thanks so much for everything Susan. We both had a wonderful time despite the chilly weather. The fishing was great and the hospitality was too...

I'm not a world traveler by any means but I have been with lots of guides around the country. Bryan was the BEST I've been with. He worked hard and really went out of his way to put me on quality fish." Your Redfish population is unlike anything I have ever seen. I caught more sight fish on this trip than all the Fla trips combined. Yep, I was pleased with that Sheepshead..I've been trying for some time to get one a fly..suprised my how well these cooperated. I got 4 or 5 before it was over but that one was right 6lbs. I definitly want to plan some offshore fishing my next time out."

"I will be putting some dates together in the next month for a return trip. The WWII Museum was amazing! My only regret was that we didn't stay at the Plantation..I think my wife would have really enjoyed that. Next time..."

Thanks again!
