Capt. Tom DePersia of Bigfish II Charters,out of Marshfield, MASS reports excellent fishing on Stellwagen Bank this week. Tuna fishing continues to be hot with Giant Bluefins 600 lbs. to over 1,000 lbs. caught here every day. While most of these fish have been taken on live bluefish some have also been trolled on squid bars.Lots of School Tuna continue to please charter patrons . The William Moshimer party from Glen Rock,PA took eight school fish while the Andrew Adams party from New York,N.Y. got nine nice fish to around 100 lbs. All fish were released except legal limits.
Cod/Haddock fishing was also great this week with Cod to 35 lbs. and plenty of Haddock, Pollack, and Wolffish to fill all coolers. Most of these fish fell to sea clams.
Striped Bass and Bluefish were good this week with mostly limit catches at Race Point to Wood End off Provincetown.
