Saturday in the am fog we had Joe Merlucci charter out, looked for bunker, way to scattered, decided to troll for a while thank goodness for Tony Maja spoons we had 3 outstanding fish down by Brick beach unfortunately Joes Bass came off at the boat after he made 2 huge runs, but the guys had an awesome time, we did miss an awesome blitz off the pipe that Jersey Joe was sitting in the middle of.
Sunday was a totally different day, we had Donald Chen and friends out, wow it was rough! but we found some bunker and went back to the Mantoloking pipe and kept working that area with lots of bunker around, finished up there with 6 bass 5 live lining and 1 on the jig all from 29lbs up to 38lbs. The bite was disrupted by a small Humpback whale that came in for pictures and a great show in the middle of the fleet.
