Flyfished a remote trout pond with a friend on Wednesday evening from about 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Had a great time catching and releasing brook trout using nymphs. We boated 8 fish and lost a couple of others mostly between 10 and 13 inches in length. One fish my friend caught looked to be about 15 to 16 inches and was beautifully colored with a reddish orange belly stripe. If you have not experienced remote pond flyfishing for brook trout, you are missing out. The scenery is great, and the brook trout are colorful and quite feisty.
