On Sunday 10/10 Netkeeper Sportfishing hosted the Anthony Girellini party for a Striper Mixed Bag Combo trip. Hit Romer with Clams for the Incoming first thing. Cracked plenty of Clams with no hits, no runs, no errors so we moved on.

After hearing nothing was going on down the beach worth running for, I decided to go in another direction and look East and was rewarded with bird life and Stripers busting under them. Put on the jigs and soft plastics and the guys boated a dozen shorts until the boat traffic found us and drove them down. Went to the troll and had constant single, double and even triple schoolie Bass action. Caught and released in the neighborhood of 30 schoolie bass in the 23" to 27" for the morning but only managed to box one 34" keeper. The fish pictured in triple header were all tagged and released with American Littoral Society (ALS) Tags.

Ran South to make a Bottom Fishing drop to end the day with. They boxed 3 Sea Bass, 20 Porgys & 1 keeper tog. Not many Sea Bass were pulled and there were a few toy togs in the mix. The guys went into release mode on the Porgys after 20 and could have caught as many Porgys many more if they wanted them. The Porgys were so thick and aggressive that even with larger 3/0 Octopus hooks we could not stop catching them.

Great start to the Fall Run. It should only continue to get better from here.

Still have some available weekend dates for the Fall Run and the first two weeks of Blackfish Season.
