Hosted Rodney Jefferson and crew out on the NetKeeper for a Porgy/Sea Bass trip on Friday 7/24. Working around time constraints we left the dock around 10am and returned around 3:30. Slow start with the Porgys, picked at them but just couldn't get them to turn on. Made a few shifts with no better results. Moved on to some Sea Bass spots where we had constant action but boxed only a few keepers. Made one final drop on the Sandy Hook Reef where Rodney got hot with the Porgys that had turned on again for us. By then we needed to pick up and head for home. The guys scratched out 35 Porgys and 13 Sea Bass. Not the numbers we were hoping for but still plenty of meat to go home with.
