Fellow Anglers,

Had the Wayne Willert party out yesterday for a day of Fluke fishing, and as I predicted on the 5th, Flynn's Knoll really produced some non-stop action for the flatties. I was great to have some really experienced anglers from Port Washington, NY on board as the guys used their own rods and reels loaded with braided line and we quickly started bucktailing for hits once we arrived at Flynn's Knoll.

We actually started the day drifting around the TC, but that produced nothing because the water down deep was cold so it was time to move. Another 2 drifts in the dropoffs at the Bug Light also was a zero, so it was time to move. Thanks to my fellow angler, Rich of Heart Failure for his heads up call to me about Flynn's, as it was off the races for my party. Within the first 6-7 minutes of our first drift at Flynn's, BANG, a nice keeper Fluke comes in. Once I had my drift pattern locked in with my GPS, I worked the area with repeated drifts in 26-34 feet of water.

Using long strips of cut squid and sand eels, we started getting constant action. All toll, we had 34 throwbacks and 8 nice NJ legal keepers along with our near doormat 9.6 lb. monster. Nice job on that fish Wayne!!!!

Once again, many thanks to Rich of Heart Failure.
