Little Bay de Noc, Michigan - Freshwater Fishing Report
Little Bay de Noc (north end)
My first trip of the season was with longtime client Dale Dewildt and his friend Betty. We hit the water about 7:00 am. Started off in the narrows at Gladstone and caught 3 keepers fishing the base of the breaks. Then moved to the north end where the water is a little warmer and found much more active fish. We were using drift-socks to slow our drift while operating the bowmount electric to keep us along the edge of the reefs. Lindy Rigs with floating jig-heads tipped with just a 2" piece of crawler caught all our fish today. As usual here in the early season, most fish were just good eaters in the 15-20 inch range. We had a colf front move through today, so I'm hoping it doesn't kill the great bite we saw today. Good luck on the water folks.

Bio: I have fished my whole life. Moved to Little Bay de Noc in November of 1996 when my dad and brother and I bought Sall-Mar Resort. Have been chartering for walleye on both Little and Big Bay de Noc the last 8 years or so. I have been featured on national TV on the "The Next Bite" tv show with Keith Kavajcez. Was also named one of the best walleye guides in the country in the June 2005 issue of Field and Stream. I'm am on Warrior Boats pro-staff and love it when parents bring their kids on my charters!
