I got the pleasure of Guide Claudia Espenscheid, founder of the world famous Fishin Chix, and several of her friends on a shall water excursion in Pensacola Florida.

The target species this trip was redfish and trout. With so many flashing, finger mullet and greenies in the grassflats, it is best to use something that flashes and imitates the real thing. I have found that a regular size mirrodine works best in this situation.

We started the morning working some shallow water grassbeds in 2ft of water trying to get an early redfish bite. It did not take long before we had several hookups and several fish in the boat. We ended the morning working a 7 to foot drop off catching lot's of trout, spanish, and a few reds.
