The bite has been a little up and down for me the last week with some really good and some slow days, too. The fish seem to be really on the move here this past week, following the bait and looking for the perfect place to lay their eggs. Sunday I found some quality fish and have been able to catch them a little more consistantly. Tuesday my guest had two fish that were both pushing 6 lbs. Their was a lot of activity on the water monday and tuesday, the gulls were feeding and so were the bass. Wednesday the activity fell off and so did the bite but we still caught several 3 to 4 pound fish.

I've been fishing grass and it's getting harder to find it, but with a few good warm days with sunshine and new grass should begin to grow and the catching is going to really pick up. The fish are really close to starting to spawn. The upcoming full moon should start the first good wave of spawners.

Spring is almost here and the fishing is good as always here on Guntersville Lake. If you would like to "Catch Guntersville Bass" give me a call and lets go catch 'em.

See ya on the water,

Michael Seeley
