29/6/09 Lough Currane was on the quiet side in both departments even though I am sure the odd Sea trout were caught. Wind SSE light to calm and bright and sunny, max air temperature 20.5c. 30/6/09 There were a few Sea Trout caught but no real rod bender. Wind SSE light to calm, amount of rainfall in the 24 hours 14.4mm, max air temperature 18.7c and just for the record we had 94.2mm of rainfall for the month of June. 1/7/09 Well Lough Currane may well be fishing on the slack side, but at least one angler came up with the goods and that was Mr Rob Wasmuth of the UK and Waterville who caught a 8lbs Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr Michael O'Sullivan of Waterville Boats and @ lobsterb@iol.ie in the Sea trout department there was no real rod benders but to be fair there wasn't much wind out there, and what wind was there, was SSE this morning, with reasonable cloud cover and brightened up this afternoon when the wind veered SSW. Amount of rainfall 4.1mm, max air temperature 18.7c. 2/7/09 Lough Currane was on the slack side in all departments but it was a different story for Local angler Mr Michael O'Dwyer who caught a fine Sea Trout of 3lbs this morning. Wind S light to calm and overcast with the odd light shower, amount of rainfall 4.2mm, max air temperature 19.1c. 3/7/09 There were a few Sea trout caught but catch of the day goes to Dr. Tim Gleeson who caught 4 Sea Trout ranging up to 3lbs with his Gillie MD. In the Salmon department all quiet on the SW Front. Wind SSW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover. Amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 5.3mm, max air temperature 18.9c. 4/7/09 In the Sea trout department there were a few juniors caught and in the Salmon department the same as yesterday but the same couldn't be said on the river Inny where I believe a couple of salmon were caught on the higher beats of the Inny? Wind SW light to fresh and overcast with the odd light shower, amount of rainfall 9.6mm, max air temperature 17.1c. 5/7/09 There were a few Sea Trout caught but no real rod benders and in the Salmon department all quiet on the SW front . Wind S first thing then veered SW with heavy showers throughout the day, amount of rainfall 10.6mm,max air temperature 17.5c. That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie and the Waterville fishery. No spin No fly's just Facts.
