13/4/09 as reported last week, Mr. Bernd Rall of Germany, fishing with his Gillie Mr Michael O'Sullivan, of Waterville Boats and @ lobsterb@iol.ie had a great catch of a 8.5lbs Salmon and finished the day off with a Specimen Sea Trout of 6 ¼ lbs, both were caught on the fly, wind SW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover. Amount of rainfall 2.3mm, max air temperature 13.1c. 14/4/09 One salmon caught on the troll by Mr Jerry O'Sullivan. Wind SE light with reasonable cloud cover. Amount of rainfall 10.9mm, max air temperature 12.2c.15/4/09 There was a fine 10lbs Salmon caught on the fly by Mr. Tom Corcoran of Waterville, first thing this morning on the famous Butler Pool and @ WWW.Watervillegolflinks.ie also in good form with a 9lbs Salmon was Mr Terence Wharton. Jnr. Wind NNE light and overcast, with light drizzle throughout the afternoon, amount of rainfall 2.6mm, max air temperature 11.2c. 16/4/09 All quiet on the SW front and with a ENE wind blowing down the Lake what do you expect so the least said, the better, and just for the record the sun was blazing down all day. Amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 1.4mm, max air temperature 16.1c. 17/4/09 Mr Bernd Rall of Germany was the toast of Lough Currane and the talk of the lobster Bar, when he brought in his 7lbs¾ Specimen Sea Trout caught on the fly, off the point of Grassy Island and when you see the picture, I am sure you will agree, and just for the record, Bernd was fishing with his Gillie Mr Michael O'Sullivan and of lobserb@iol.ie , well the action didn't stop there because Mr Tom Corcoran of Waterville caught a fine salmon on the famous Butler pool and fair play to him he is beginning to make a habit of it, and may he keep up the good work. Wind ESE light to fresh and bright and sunny through out the day. Max air temperature 16.7c 18/4/09 Lough Currane was on the quiet side, but you try and tell that to a guest, who caught a fine 8lbs Salmon on the fly, fishing with the maestro himself Mr Brod O'Sullivan of Stella Maris Guesthouse Waterville, and for the rest of we Anglers no comment. and you can get Brod on 353(0)879227695. Wind SE light to fresh at times and plenty of sun breaking through, max air temperature 16.1c. 19/4/09 All quiet on all fronts on the Waterville fishery. Wind the SSE light to calm and overcast throughout the day, max air temperature 13.5c, and that is your ration for this week, from your Gillie and the Waterville fishery.
