20/5/09 I will start today's notes On the Famous Butler Pool and of WWW.Watervillegolflinks.ie where the O'Connell brothers and of www.orkonfishingtackle.com were in good form again when they caught a 8lbs Salmon on the fly, now upstream to Lough Currane Where Mr and Mrs Heinz Strappmen of Germany and fishing out of WWW.Lakelandhouse.com were the Talk of the town and the Waterville Fishery when they caught two Salmon, one of 9lbs and 10lbs both fish were caught on the troll. Now for a bit of poaching I see on WWW.Loughcurrane.com that the upper Lakes produced some fine Sea trout in the 3lbs class. Wind W light to fresh with bright sunshine all day, they say a bright day is no good for my noble gentlemen and ladies alike, well that may be true, but you try and tell that to Mr and Mrs Heinz Strappmen, need I say more. Amount of rainfall 0.2mm, max air temperature 13.8c.

21/5/09 local angler Mr Michael O'Dwyer had one 9lbs salmon to his rod this morning and in the Sea trout department I believe the odd one or two were caught. Wind WNW light to fresh with the odd light shower. Amount of rainfall 5.6mm, max air temperature 14.4c.
