10/3/08 Storm force WNW winds brings fishing to a standstill and just for the record the strongest gust was 135.2km/h/84mph. Amount of rainfall 9.9mm. 11/3/08 much of the same today as yesterday but not as violent, but not far from it, so my Noble Salmon had a second day of peace from flies and lures. Wind WNW with showers. Maximum wind gust 103.8km/h/64.5mph, amount of rainfall 13.8mm. 12/3/08 First thing this morning the wind was on the wild side, but not wild enough that one couldn't fish and that is exactly what Mr Nick Park of the UK did and caught himself a fine 9.5lbs fresh Salmon, caught on the troll going by the Bridge with his Gillie Mr Bob Priestley and late in the evening Mr Ken Towner of the UK and Waterville caught a fine fresh salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr Vincent O'Sullivan. Wind NW fresh to strong and just for the record the strongest gust was 56 knots/64.5mph/103.8km/h. amount of rainfall 0.4mm. 13/3/08 After yesterdays excitement all quiet on the north side but it was a different story on the south side where Mr Ian Scohfield caught a fresh 9lbs Salmon on the troll fishing out of Sylvester Donnelley's. Wind WSW light and overcast with light rain in the afternoon, amount of rainfall 2.1mm.14/3/08 there was some fine action on the Lake, that is if you were in Mr Dominic Mc Gillcuddy's boat and @ dominicmcgillicuddy@gmail.com because his client Mr Robert Elson caught a fine Salmon on fly, off the Morgan's rock which he sportingly put back and then put out the trolling rods and caught a fine 9lbs Salmon, both fish were fresh and just for the record Mr Robert Elson has the honour of catching the first Salmon on the fly from the boat. Wind SW light to fresh and overcast, amount of rainfall 5.3mm. 15/3/08 all quiet in all departments, wind, you can take your pick because it was coming from all directions, but what wind was there, was light and eventually the lake went flat calm with good bright sunshine in the afternoon. Amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 8mm. 16/3/08 All quiet both in the fly and lure departments. Wind ESE light to calm and overcast. That is all the news from your gillie and the Waterville Fishery. No Spin no Fly's just Facts.
