/5/08 All quiet on the SW front and with flat calm conditions, and one wouldn't expect anything less and if any Angler did contact the old Gentlemen or lady, good luck to them, and that is exactly what Mr Tom O'Callaghan did when he caught himself a 7.5lbs Salmon on the troll late this evening. Wind east calm to light. Max air temperature 15.6C/60.08F.

/5/08 again very warm, with the sun blazing down on the Lake, but with all that there was a 3.438kg/7.5lbs7949ozs specimen Sea Trout caught on the troll by my good self at 9.40pm this evening and I can tell you I had one almighty fight. They say self praise is no recommendation I disagree. Wind E light, max air temperature 23.8C/74.84F.

/5/08 Again another blazing hot day with light SW wind blowing then come 7pm it veered NW then veered NNE and veered again around 9.30pm to SE light to calm and with all those changes still my Noble gentlemen was as allusive as ever. Max air temperature 22.1C/71.78F. 15/5/08 Much of the same again today, there were the odd fish contacted this evening, but they all live to see another day and I am afraid losses don't register in the in the no Spin no Fly's zone. Wind first thing, NW then veered WSW light. Max air temperature 18.4C/65.12F.

/5/08 There was a fine Salmon caught out at the Sisters on the fly by Mr Pat O'Mahoney of Cork, fishing by him self and for the rest of we so called fly fishers no returns but at least there were a few Sea Trout on the rise. Wind you can take your pick because it was coming from all directions especially this evening. Max air temperature 17.9C/64.22F. 17/5/08 Mr John Murphy our Manger and of WWW.Loughcurrane.com was telling me that there were four Salmon caught, first in my firing line was Mr Arthur White of the UK who caught two fine Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr Bob Priestley and you can contact Bob on 353 (0) 879228662 also in good form was a guest who caught a 6lbs Grilse on the troll with his Gillie Mr Sylvester Donnelly and you can contact Sylvester on 353 (0) 87642527 and last but not least Mr Pat Boland, also caught a Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr Dominic Mc Gillicuddy. Wind flat calm all day and what wind was there was mainly from the east and overcast with light rain throughout the afternoon, amount of rainfall 5.4mm, max air temperature 16.1C/60.98F.

/5/08 Again there was no wind to talk of, but there was good cloud cover with heavy showers, but because of the lack of wind my noble fly fisher was made redundant for most of the day but there was some good action in the trolling department, first in the striking zone, was a guest who caught a fine 9lbs Salmon in Edere Bay with his Gillie Mr Junior Scully and you can contact Junior on 353 (0) 669474270 also in good form was Mr Heinz Strapman of Germany who caught a 10lbs Salmon with his Gillie Mr Frank Donnelly and of WWW.Lakelandshouse.com Amount of rainfall 2.5mm, max air temperature 16.1C/60.98F. Now for a special note for all you Specimen catch and release artists, when possible please take a photo of your capture and release, so remember the digital Camera motto, clunk click every fish.
