Just got back from tarpon and snook fishing in Fl. for 2 weeks. Tarpon were so, so, but the snook fishing on the beach was off the charts. Anyway, back to Laguna Madre. First day out since I got back on Sunday was yesterday. Did three drifts behind Green Island and the fish were plentiful enough but small and super spooky. Did manage a couple though on a salt & pepper plastic minnow and a chartreuse streamer fly tied on a #2 hook. Will try the beach and the Port Mansfield jetties for tarpon tommorrow and then fish around Port Mansfield after that. Will let yall know what I find.

Fish Species: redfish, trout
Bait Used: flies, spoons, plastics
Tackle Used: fly rods and spinning tackle ( 6lbs.)
Method Used: drifting and sight-fishing
Water Depth: 1-2 ft.
Water Temperature: 85 degrees
Wind Direction: SE
Wind Speed: 12-15 mph
