east end lake erie ,
stageing smallmouth are in 35 foot flats waiting to move up and spawn. locating these fish you can have some big fish in the boat . may 31 ,three to mid three lb fish are in 10 to 15 ft. holding over gravel and rocky flats . tube baits and live bait ,emerald shinners are producing these class fish .tube colors in green pumpkin .june-1-2. bigger fish holding in deeper water .27 to 32 feet. fish in the mid four to low five lb class were boated.with lots off high three pound smallies. prowler tube baits in green pumkin ,and melon pepper put the deeper smallies in the boat. emerald shinners also worked well in the deeper flat area, fished on a three way rig. july and august .these fish will be in there summer pattern.
