All it took was a break in the weather to find the fall run under way. Jeff W. was quick to jump on the opportunity and we found blitzing fish throughout the day. We started by the Breezy Point jetty with 4 stripers on fly from 28 to 31 inches. When things slowed there we ran south to Jersey to look for the great action they were having earlier in the week, but only found blues in the 3 pound class which were good for a few laughs. Back in Sandy Hook Bay we found the mother lode with bass averaging 25" blitzing from top to bottom. And Jeff managed about a half dozen on fly with a few more cocktail blues mixed in. Of course this weekend is a blowout with winds to 45 knots, but the fall run is definitely under way and when the weather breaks again you can be sure we will be out there on the prowl again.

I have Fridays, Sundays and Mondays available through November. Give me a call, 917-297-5822, or drop me a line captdaveazar@aol.com
