Today we had our friend Paul Stinson and his crew of 9 aboard to try our hand at chumming the Northern Neck reef for stripers. We arrived on the scene at about 7:30 and began slinging the hash. In no time at all we were starting to pick up a few fish. A little on the slow side for chumming but good quality fish ranging from 20-26 inches and fat as footballs. We caught fish in our first spot off and on for a couple of hours before moving to another location on the reef at the beginning of the next tide. This place was hot. The fish were in a frenzy right behind the boat in plain view. Easy pickings as all you had to do was drop your baited hook back in the slick and "fish on"! No problem limiting out on good quality fish and catching and releasing plenty more.

The trolling bite has picked up tremendously the last couple of days as well. Bigger fish are being caught in the Northern portions of the bay and the Eastern side below Tangier produced some 30+ inch fish yesterday. The first of the season in our neck of the woods. We will be back on the trolling charters tomorrow and nearly everyday throughout the rest of November. Stay tuned for more reports and photos of our trips.

Have 2 openings for the month of November right now. the 21st and the 27th. This is good couple of trips to catch some quality fish from the bay before we head down to Va beach to really blast the bass. Interested persons give me a call ASAP. 804-725-6288

Bio: I was was born on Gwynns Island in Virginia and grew up in a commercial fishing environment and I still currently hold commercial fishing licenses. I have been fishing the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Beach waters for many many years, in fact my entire life from when I was a little boy growing up on Gwynn's Island, Virginia. I started chartering part time in 1997 before going full time into it in 2000. I am on my 3rd boat as of now and each time I moved up to a bigger and better charter boat. I started out with a six pack boat (6 persons max), moved into an inspected boat in 2001 (6 plus anglers) and had my current boat custom built in 2006. During my fishing and boating career I was at one time a mate and engineer on a tugboat which was really tough but exciting work. I am proud to say I was once featured in Bay Splash Magazine as a Chesapeake Bay Captain and I also write fishing reports for "Rivah" Magazine. I love to fish and meet new people especially when I am turning them on to the sport. Because of my strong commercial fishing background I have alot of respect for those guys which is also where I got much of my fishing experience. I am on the water at least 320 days of the year every year. I hope you find or take the time to enjoy yourself by taking a fishing trip with me, I will put you on the fish and send you home with some great memories to talk about with all your friends.
