Raritan Bay, New Jersey - Saltwater Fishing Report
Romer Shoal & Keyport
John Kolias

Fellow Anglers,

Fished today with the Karl Lens party. It was a tough day as the Stripers weren't responding to the clams as we tried many different spots. Fished the back bay which produced a few shorts on the slack tide. I prefer to fish the incoming tide for Stripers, so I had an idea that clamming would be tough. The only way to produce on a day like this is to "troll" Stretch 25's, which was producing for some other boats. Too bad my customers weren't up to trolling so I did the best I could do under the circumstances which was to move around a lot looking for fish to take clams. Even Romer was slow after the tide turned to outgoing.

Tight Lines to all.......

Capt. John
