St.Simons Island

November was a super month for Trout/Reds.Water temperatures in the 60's proved to a real turn on for the fish. But,December is starting off even better with limits of fish being taken routinely.Without a doubt, the fish are biting the artificials better than the live bait.Four inch Saltwater Assassins rigged with a 1/4 ounce lead head seem to be ideal.Cast and retrieve slowly. The fish are taking a variety of color patterns, including the Woodpecker/New Penny/Pinfish/and Silver Mullet. If you have never fished artificials for Trout, your missing some great fun.You can also suspend these baits under a popping cork and have good success.
