The Snook bite is consistent during the day even better at night. Free lining threadfins are Capt. Steven's choice of baits, with cut threadfins being the second choice. This week we are finding the Snook with an occasional redfish up very tight to the mangroves. Casts landing within inches often are met with aggressive strikes; baits landing just inches short of the mangroves went untouched. Live baits quickly swim away from the mangroves requiring constant retrieving and casting. Keep your baits fresh, change baits often. The night snook bite continues strong with solid fish in the 25" to 30" range. Threadfins again first choice of baits with pinfish a close second. When fishing submerged dock lights you will from time to time get caught on the lights. Cut your line at the boat, be considerate to not damage or pull out the dock owner's expensive lights. The Bonita Blitz at the Entrance to Tampa Bay continues, action is HOT regardless of the time or tide. Silver Clark Spoons size 00 retrieved rapidly ensures multiple hook ups.
