4 days ago an unannounced severe thunderstorm hit the Lower Laguna Madre. Approximately 10-12 inches of rain fell in about 3-4 hours. Many flash storm creeks exceeded their banks and are still pumping a lot of mud into the bay. Things are improving slowly but still has a ways to go. Was lucky enough to find a flat along the intracoastal that I poled that had a fair supply of tailing redfish in the 5-9lb. range. Unfortunately, no flies found their intended targets and were never seen. So we got skunked but the fish were there.
