The fish killers were in town today!

Donnie Phelps and his crew of 9 anglers were down to fish with us for Friday and Saturday. These guys are a regular crowd for us and do all types of fishing throughout the year so we knew what to expect when they got here. They know how to get it done!

Started out at Cape Henry this morning with four rods bending before the whole spread was set out. Got those four in and proceeded to catch one more fish in the next 30 minutes. Picked up a big bird show on radar approximately 3 miles away and ran to it. This was the real deal. Wide open every line down, every pass. It was total carnage as the boys kept hauling in fish after fish over the rail. Doubles, singles, it didnt matter. Danny, and the crew of anglers got it done in a hurry and kept it going. 22 big stripers and 2 bluefish were in the box at 9:20 a.m. GAME OVER.

It was a bit on the rugged side with the NE wind so we headed back to the inlet, fat and happy.

The fish ranged from 35 to 45 inches in length. The biggest being a 38 pounder.

Thanks guys. Always a pleasure having you on board.

Company: Adams Fishing Adventures

Area Reporting: Chesapeake Bay

Bio: I was was born on Gwynns Island in Virginia and grew up in a commercial fishing environment and I still currently hold commercial fishing licenses. I have been fishing the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Beach waters for many many years, in fact my entire life from when I was a little boy growing up on Gwynn's Island, Virginia. I started chartering part time in 1997 before going full time into it in 2000. I am on my 3rd boat as of now and each time I moved up to a bigger and better charter boat. I started out with a six pack boat (6 persons max), moved into an inspected boat in 2001 (6 plus anglers) and had my current boat custom built in 2006. During my fishing and boating career I was at one time a mate and engineer on a tugboat which was really tough but exciting work. I am proud to say I was once featured in Bay Splash Magazine as a Chesapeake Bay Captain and I also write fishing reports for "Rivah" Magazine. I love to fish and meet new people especially when I am turning them on to the sport. Because of my strong commercial fishing background I have alot of respect for those guys which is also where I got much of my fishing experience. I am on the water at least 320 days of the year every year. I hope you find or take the time to enjoy yourself by taking a fishing trip with me, I will put you on the fish and send you home with some great memories to talk about with all your friends.
