Miramichi River, New Brunswick - Freshwater Fishing Report
Doaktown to Blackville
Things were picking up better for trout and shad today on the South West Miramichi and the Cains River. Guide Gary Colford and Sport Jim Haughey landed 2 shad and had several others on. There was hundreds of shad showing everywhere tonight. I will have pictures of them in tomorrow.There are many trout being caught on the Cains River, one tonight caught over 5 lbs and I will have the picture for that in tomorrow. And several last night over the 2 lb range. I also seen a huge Moose crossing the river today on the South West and another feeding while going to the North West at lunch time. Both animals were in great looking shape. I also seen some white tail deer today and a flock of geese. you can check the gallery for some pictures of the shad and trout tomorrow.
