Captain Fred Duncan here to tell you that fishing has been good and getting better! We had a few cold and wet days of fishing here of late and I have taken some hard core anglers to Lake Allatoona over the last couple of weeks. We have caught the majority of our fish between the hours of 0800 and 1200 on live threadfin shad. Threadfin is the meal of choice for all species...Stripers, Hybrids and Spotted Bass. I have been catching Hybrids between two - ten pounds...we have caught good numbers of hybrids and good size. I had a client catch a 24 pound striper last week that put up a heckuva fight! Believe it or not one of my best days was last Wednesday when we fished in the pouring rain…we caught a lot of good fish that day...now that is some hard core fishing right there. Keep an eye on the weather for the first of December and if there is any sign of a warming trend...you need to be on the lake setting hooks!

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and remember "Fishing Trips Make Great Christmas Gifts", so if you are looking for a gift for that hard to buy for friend or family member...hook them up with a fishing trip and they will be talking about it for years to come...believe that!
