Miramichi River, New Brunswick - Freshwater Fishing Report

It seems like winter will never go away . We are into yet another spring snow storm with temperatures below normal and the forecast not looking much better for a few more days . The ice in the river is slowly melting in the faster moving runs and small channels but the river in general is far from open . We have plenty of snow in the woods so with a slight change in the weather we should see a good freshet and most likely a spectacular ice-run . We plan to open camp for April 19th arrivals , which should give the river plenty of time to get the ice cleared out and have those monster salmon reved up and ready to bite .
