I had the wonderful pleasure of fishing with Nick Sagona again, along with his son, Nick, and friends, Tony and Anthony Sciortino. We started in Eloi and got on a good bite off jump street under corks, boxing about 30 and they turned tiny. I made another couple stops with not much to show, then decided to make a go for the outside. First stop was pay-dirt! Nothing fast about them but they were steady and would get some faster flurries. They were slamming the boogie shrimp when they would hit, almost yanking the pole out your hand. By 10 am we were headed for the barn with yet another 100 pretty speckled trout. All fish were caught on live boogie shrimp and croakers both under corks and carolina rigged. Capt. Jonathan also had a great day limiting out on some beautiful speckled trout! Fishing is off the freakin' hook RIGHT NOW! Limits of speckled trout are hitting the dock left and right every day.
