Comments: April started off with a bang. Bob Schriewer and Jerry Ballard, veteran Mexico bass anglers, just returned, marking this trip as their best bass fishing trip yet to Mexico. Lake Baccarac is right where we thought it would be for this time of year - excellent shape. The big fish for Bob was 11.15, along with a couple of additional bass over 10 lbs. caught. The overall quality, according to Jerry Ballard, was the best he has ever seen at any lake in Mexico. Topwater bite, one session, produced multiple 9 lb. largemouth bass using Spittin Image. The swim bait bite, in 14 to 22 feet of water, was as good as it was the week before. Seems like the bite is best on the long points and submerged islands.
