The Fishing Season Opens on April the 15th for Atlantic Salmon and May 1st for trout on the Miramichi River .The season runs till Oct the 15th .The Spring season runs till mid May when most of the fishing is dobe by fishing from boats with a guide using sinking lines .The summer and fall fishing season most of the fishing is done by wading using floating lines .The Miramichi is still one of the best Atlantic Salmon Rivers in the World . The ice has not all gone from the River for another year. The conditions are great for opening day on the 15th but will need rain if good spring fishing is to continue long into May this year .Everyone is hoping for another year like last year as it seen one of the better returns of wild atlantic salmon in years
