I've had several good days of lite tackle fishing between Oriental and New Bern. The top water striper bite remains consistent and Capt. Dave Stewart and I had a good day catching specks, slot redfish and flounder. Soft plastics were the key on all three. We're seeing tarpon in the Neuse as well and those giant red drum are starting to show.
