I have fished 5 days with customes over the last 2 weeks, and even with the cold and windy weather we have caught good numbers of 2-17 pound redfish. Redfish are schooling in large numbers on the shallow mud flats giving great shots at sight fishing with fly and spin gear. Had my best winter charter ever with a single client last week and he boated over 50 redfish in 5 hours, with the biggest being 17 pounds, also caught 2 nice reds on the fly yesterday. Slow retrieve with scented soft plastics, and flies with rabbit hair have been the best.
