Bass fishing is great right now. With the cooler water temps the bass are just now beginning their fall feeding frenzy and can be caught on a variety of lures from topwaters to Texas rigged worms. The bass bite has gotten better over the last week and will only get better over the next days and weeks to come. Find the roaming shad along the vegetation and the bass will be nearby. My largest this past week went 8.33 using a Shad colored V&M Pork Shad. Clients caught 7 bass this past week over 6lb. up to 8lb along with many other quality sized bass. Water temps have been ranging from 56 early in the day to 61 later in the day. The lake levels are stabile and 1.5 to 2 ft. low. The white and yellow bass can be caught in the Big Cypress River channel using small spoons and tail spinners hopped off the bottom. Crappie fishing is great using shiners and jigs. Most are being caught inside the pads lining the Big Cypress in 4-7 ft. of water.
