I was asked by Capt Dan Utley (www.fishincoach.com) to go on a fishing trip with him and a marine biologist (Glenn Ulrick) from the SC DNR here in Charleston.

The trip was Thursday 12/13/07 out of Hilton Head,SC.

We went off shore about 5-6 miles to an area that had held the red drum in the past couple of weeks.

Well, we caught 5 fish that were around 38"

As you can see in the pictures below, a lot of information was gathered from this outing.

An orange dart tag was inserted along with a P.I.T. tag and also a clipping of the anal fin for the D.N.A. testing to see if the fish were from a spawn by DNR.
