I met a friend at Uvas the other day and he had asked why I hadn't posted, well I am a local football Coach and that gets most of my time the days. In my time away from the team and my kids you will find me slaying Bass at Uvas Dam. the bite is very good, lots of 1 pounders with some 2's and 3's mixed in and the occasional hogg!! 11 ponder i landed on a buzz bait about 2 weeks ago (see attached pictures). I also landed a 6 pounder just this past Friday. Right now the bass at Uvas are what i call "pre hibernation mode". Think of it as a bear going into hibernation, they are just gorging themselves with bait fish, as if they were getting ready for hibernation. As we all know Bass do not hibernate but they do go into that doldrum of winter where they feed scarcely, especially at Uvas in the winter the bait dies off and the crawdads bury themselves, so right now they are fattening up for winter. Send me an email and I can get you on Bass for sure.
