Fished Cowlitz River at Blue creek on saturday, saw two fish netted in boats, but no action for bank anglers. The river as been very very slow for winter steelhead this year. This could be a result of the news that tacoma power wants to start cutting the number of hatchery steelhead to give some more room for the wilds(if they werent lazy enough with that hatchery already).

On the plus side the water conditions were perfect, perfect speed in most places and more than six feet of clearity.

This could be the slow end of the Cowlitz winter run steelhead, bummer. :(
