Bass fishing is great right now. With the cooler water temps the bass are just now beginning their fall feeding frenzy and can be caught on a variety of lures from topwaters to Texas rigged worms. The bass bite has gotten better over the last week and will only get better over the next days and weeks to come. Find the roaming shad along the vegetation and the bass will be nearby. Most of our bass have been coming from 3-4 ft. of water with quite a bit of schooling from the larger bass. A watermelon or shad colored V&M Porkshad has worked best for me with a chart./white spinnerbait following as a 2nd choice. Water temps have been ranging from 59 early in the day to 64 later in the day. The lake levels are stabile and 1.5 to 2 ft. low.
