Chinook has been good along close to shore the past week and should keep going strong. Offshore fish are being caught at the Heisen and the inshore fishery has been pretty consistent for larger Chinook.

Both salmon and halibut fishing was good and inshore fishing as well as Big Bank were improved over 2014. Ucluelet was once again one of the best places on the coast to get your rods bent.

Great fishing season in Ucluelet; summer of large and plentiful salmon! Sometimes couldn't hardly get a line down without a bite! Halibut was not as good as previous, but stil brought in limit almost daily. Great weather, got offshore almost every day.
