Area Reporting: Atlantic Salmon Fishing on the Miramichi River!

Bio: The Northwest Miramichi has been a well-kept secret for generations. Unlike the ever-popular Southwest, the Northwest has had little development in its past. Running out of the Christmas and Historian mountain ranges, the upper reaches are in remote unsettled territory. The rivers start their journey at some 2000 feet and drop to sea level within 70 miles. The variety of terrain offers a plethora of fishing opportunities. From the meandering channels and gravel bars of the lower river to the fast-flowing boulder-strewn streams like the Big Sevogle with its deep clear holding pools, the Northwest has enough water to keep a salmon fisher happy for a lifetime.
