Biloxi Bay Convicts

I will be back in Alabama on Tuesday and will be on the water chasing stripers. But for now I am on the Mississippi coast catching tons of convicts and some flounder. With the weather in the 70's and the lows in the 60's fishing is hot. It took a hour to figure out the bite, but once we did it was game on. We caught most of our fish in depths of 6-10 feet. We used a vertical presentation with a constant hop. The sheepshead bite right now is so light, you really have to pay close attention or you'll miss them. We fished of three hours and filled the cooler, as we got back to the dock a charter boat pulled in. We asked them what they caught, he said "5 sheepshead". We said ok and keep our mouth shut, but after they passed my friend and me couldn't help but smile. We caught a cooler full about 300 yards from the boat launch. We're hitting the water tomorrow so checkout my website, I have pictures of the cooler full of convicts and will have several pictures up over the next couple days. I will be back fish on Smith lake Tuesday. Give me a call if your interested in fishing Smith Lake.
