We just got back from the second leg of the Pro Am circuit, this weeks event was held out of Point Breeze in Orleans Co. We started out of Wilson late on Wednesday and checked out the water we had fished on Sunday to find not much had changed. We took lots of Kings on a mix magnum spoons and flasher flies. Purples, greens and blacks took our bites in a variety of combinations.

Thursday we headed back out of Wilson and started our day in shallow, first rod in, first king hooked up! Set and repeat! That's how the morning went for the first 2 hrs. Magnum spoons did most of the damage again, purples, blacks, and glows. We picked up and headed east towards our home for the weekend Oak Orchard. We stopped out deep in 300' found a small temp break and started to have our way with steelhead, lakers and coho. Every rod in our spread took fish leadcores, downriggers, divers, and copper. Standard size stingers did all of the damage in bright patterns, reds, oranges green and chartreuse.

Friday we worked the inside water again looking for an inshore king bite closer to port. We didn't really find any hot spot but we did manage to capture fish all over. Late in the day we found a nice pod of coho. We figured we could always use them as a back up plan.

Saturday after what we found the last 3 days we decided to make the 40 mile run to Wilson since that was where we found the largest consitrations of kings. We didn't start fishing until 7 oclock but by 10:30 we had our limit and headed back! We finished the day with largest catch out of 40 teams. Today we went with the same program as Thursday but it was more of a 50/50 mix of flies and spoons. Mags and some Stingray sizes too. Copper was very good today and accounted for our first, last and 2 biggest fish, on flies.

Sunday with the heavy NE winds we had Sat. we were afraid the fish were going to move but we had to go back. They hadn't moved yet but the did after we got there. We had 5 by 8:45 and hen they were gone. We headed back to our coho spot to find that water changed also. Luckily we were able to capture a 10+lbs steelhead to give us 6. At the end of the day we dropped from 1st to 5th but a great showing for the tough day we had Sunday.
