Yesterday I had the privilege to fish with some boys from Eglin AFB; Pat, David and Rich. The weather started out freezing cold (NO KIDDING) 20 to 30 mph out the north and temp 35 degrees which made it feel like it was in the 20's. The morning started off a little slow,FISH WERE STILL UNDER THE COVERS IN BED, but soon we started catching a couple. The bite really turned on and they were slaying them over the sides faster then I could take them off the hooks, before you know it there was a limit of trout in the box. The boys wanted to hit a couple of Reds so off we went to one of my little honeyholes, made one troll down the bank stopped on a little cove and it was ON LIKE DONKEYKONG!!! We had Reds piled up on the floor like summer time speckle trout under the birds, needless to say it was a quick limit, filling up the ice chest and livewell.
